KRISTIE & PAUL
Chic Kristie & her rugged man Paul
New year, new wedding! I absolutely love The Pig (near Bath) as a wedding venue, so Kristie and Paul’s big day was a great way to shake those January blues.
Bride, groom, their sons and the wedding party were getting ready at The Pig on the morning of the wedding. I was snapping away to get the usual ‘bride getting ready’ shots, when Kristie sent her sons to the groom’s room with a beautifully wrapped gift for hubby-to-be. After capturing the little surprise, Paul frantically wrapped a present for Kristie, and sent the boys to deliver the gift to their mum. The delivery boys made the gestures extra special and both excitement and emotions filled the atmosphere. After the arrival of Kristie’s very emotional Dad, the father and daughter headed to Guild Hall in the car, and I hopped on the mini bus with the guests.
Congratulations to Kristie and Paul on your marriage and beautiful winter wedding. I’ll be back at The Pig in April for Lucinda and Richard’s nuptials, so keep your eyes peels for that!
The small and sweet ceremony took place in Guild Hall’s beautiful Abbey Room, overlooking the magnificent Bath Abbey. Harry, the best man and son, was keeper of the rings, and Paul read a lovely poem. Once the knot was tied, it was time for a confetti throw and group shots on the steps before we all headed back to The Pig.
Once there, we managed to squeeze in some gorgeous romantic shots just as the light started to disappear. Guests mingled in the dining room with their canapes (called Piggy Bites) eagerly awaiting the newlyweds. All seated, there were a few speeches from Kristie’s dad, Paul’s best friend, and Kristie’s best friend, all provoking lots of laughter. Ready for food, everyone enjoyed a nice meal before the cutting of the cake and the party to end a spectacular day!
