Syrencot Wedding Photography

From a secret country house to not-so-secret wedding venue in Syrencot, Wiltshire Everyone wants to choose a picturesque venue for their wedding. It might only last a day, but the memories and the photos last forever.

A little history

Syrencot House is a 17th century, Grade II listed house perched on the banks of the River Avon. Situated nearby is the Saxon village of Figheldean. The house sits surrounded by land owned by the Ministry of Defence. There’s no danger of being disturbed on your big day here!

Wedding prep

Your wedding day will start at the house, which you can gain access to from 9 am. The Billiard Room on the ground floor is a stunning room to get ready in. With its huge windows and vaulted ceilings, light abounds in this space. It is a wedding photographer’s (and, no doubt, a make-up artist’s) dream of a space to work in. It’s also ideally tucked out of the way too, from the groom’s area, to ensure plenty of mystery and enchantment before the wedding ceremony.

Your ceremony

From morning prep to the ceremony has been very cleverly designed. The Billiard Room has its own private entrance, which leads out through the Walled Garden and to the stunning Glasshouse. This is where your ceremony will take place unless you’ve opted for the outdoor option. The Glasshouse is airconditioned, so it is perfect even in the heat of summer. There is so much light in this space and it makes a glorious backdrop for a wedding. You wouldn’t need to do much to decorate the space at all, it looks amazing just as it is!

When the weather is good, celebratory drinks are served on the lawn which always makes for great candid photographs. The kids also have plenty of room to run around and entertain themselves while you’re enjoying chat and canapes with your guests.

And when you’re ready to sit down to dinner, the Farmshed is where you’ll be. This space has been purpose-built for the task of hosting your wedding reception and it is an absolute joy to work in. There’s so much space and, again, lots of lovely light. The décor is contemporary and comfortable and barely needs any trimming. The lights are a showpiece all of their own! Even the tables and chairs are beautiful and remove the need for linens.

As an added bonus, this venue even has a pizza oven and also offers barbecues as an alternative to the traditional wedding breakfast if you prefer.

A beautiful Wiltshire wedding venue

The owners at Syrencot have thought of every detail to make this the perfect wedding venue. It really is a wedding photographer’s dream to photograph there. I certainly am looking forward to working there again.
