ROSANNA & GRANT
Weddings are, without a doubt, the epitome of all that’s great about life. There’s always so much fun, love and laughter at every single one that I can’t help but fail to leave each event with the biggest smile on my face. The English
English Rosanna and Scotsman Grant are both doctors. Apart from the fact this means they both know exactly how to let their hair down and have a party (!), it also meant Rosanna had mad organisational skills and they were both totally chilled out all day long as a result. Honestly, lists are the way forward folks!
The wedding took place in mid-June at the glorious North Cadbury Court in Somerset. I’d not shot there before so I was really looking forward to it, and now I can’t wait to shoot there again! North Cadbury Court is a Grade I listed country house venue built in the 16thcentury and it sits among 1500 acres of beautiful land. It’s owned by the Montgomery family, who are world-renowned for their cheddar cheese (yum!) and the church Rosanna and Grant had their ceremony in, St Michaels, sits right next door to the Court, just a short walk away.
In the morning I headed to bridal prep and my awesome second shooter and good friend, Mona Ali, went off to capture photographs of the boys getting ready. It’s always so much fun to work with a friend. Not only does she know exactly how I work, I know I can trust her to get the shots I want as well, and she definitely did not disappoint!

A TALL LONG LEGGED BIRD
There were honestly so many beautiful moments from this day, it’s hard to list them all or whittle down the photographs. It really was the most incredible day – in fact, I can only liken it to a Royal wedding, it was that epic! From the tiniest details, like the knitted dolls lovingly crafted by Rosanna’s Mum for all the flower girls, boys and even one for the bride and groom, through to the grand gesture of the Scottish bagpiper who escorted the party from the ceremony back to the venue – not to mention all the kilts! – this was a wedding full of the most personal touches.
Add in some amazingly emotive speeches, including a song from the father of the groom about where Grant and Rosanna should live, and you have the best recipe for a wedding I could imagine.
After a dinner full of amazing speeches, the party was only just getting warmed up! With the funk and soul sounds of Agent Funk, the band providing the evening’s entertainment, some singing from Rosanna’s brother, Tom, and a ceilidh with all our kilt-wearers ‘stripping the willow’, it really was a fabulous evening and I’m pretty sure my head is still spinning now! Mona and I left our awesome couple and their amazing families to dance the night away.
Of course, I couldn’t finish without mentioning some of the amazing suppliers I was lucky enough to work with at Rosanna and Grant’s big day. The gorgeous classic white blooms surrounded by all the pretty foliage were supplied by The Wilde Bunch. Rosanna’s spectacular dress was designed and created by Karen Reilly and she was expertly made up by Kelly Hooper, with her hair done by Rebecca Jones. The amazing feast was provided by Caroline Gent Catering, who specialise in providing seasonally-inspired, fresh and local food. I also had the pleasure of working alongside Harry from Chestnut Productions who captured all the footage for Rosanna and Grant’s wedding video, which I can’t wait to see. Finally, Grant’s bespoke kilt came from Houston Kiltmakers.
Without further ado, it is my pleasure to wish you both so many congratulations
