Suzie & Phil
What a fabulous day! Suzie and Phil are regulars at Widcombe Baptist Church so it was the obvious choice for their wedding ceremony. You simply cannot beat a proper church service especially when the congregation sing, and boy did these guests know their hymns! Following the service, forgetting the part where I accidentally knocked the flowers over! (Cringe) the wedding guests were treated to fresh home baked cakes. Teas and coffees were served before the bride and groom made their way to the reception venue.
Monkton Combe School was the chosen reception venue, an excellent choice for such an occasion. It’s vast, beautiful, and flooded with natural light. Perfect lighting is always a blessing for a photographer. As the guests arrived at the venue, the warm sunshine & canapés ensured everyone enjoyed the outside spaces. The children were well occupied with a range of garden games. A fine wedding breakfast was then served before an emotional set of speeches.
The day was rounded off with a Scottish Ceilidh, Not only can these guests sing they can certainly dance as well. No contest for my 1st place award; it goes to the Bride’s mum for a combination of enthusiasm and stamina! You’ll see the action shoots at the bottom of this post.
Suzie and Phil, I wish you and your little lad all the happiness in the world. I thoroughly enjoyed your day. It was also great to re visit Widcombe church where many happy Thursdays were spent with my children as toddlers. Oh and sorry about the flowers!
