I arrived at the Priory hotel in Bath to document Jamie and her family preparing for the days events. I hadn’t made the connection when Jamie booked me, but it turned out I knew the brides family from many moons ago and I remember Jamie as a little girl. This is a big family and growing! Jamie looked stunning, resembling a Greek goddess in her gown. Two of her sisters were bridesmaids and looked beautiful in full-length navy silk. In fact the whole bridal party were superbly coordinated and dare I say it one of the smartest this season.

The intimate ceremony, attended by close family and friends, was held at Kingswood School. Following the service we headed into town to Woods Restaurant for the celebrations. The restaurant owners are personal friends of the Bride and Groom and hosted a superb wedding breakfast, the finest meal I’ve had in a long time! This was followed by the speeches and cutting of the cake. By this time the merry guests were spilling out on to the street, giving the party a cosmopolitan feel as the band set up for the first dance. The band played on, the children had a ball, the olds chilled in the restaurant and the merry partied into the night.
