I absolutely loved Eleanor and Michael’s wedding last week in Kingston upon Thames. Eleanor is a friend of mine from university; we were the two people out of 80 on our graphic communication course that decided we would be wedding photographers once we had graduated.
Eleanor is extremely talented she makes everything. Her wedding was no exception, starting with beautiful invitations, followed by all the décor in the marquee and even the bridesmaids’ dresses! Yes she really made 8 bridesmaids dresses all by herself in her little house. Her creativity has no boundaries!
It was a big old church wedding; Eleanor’s Dad is actually a vicar so the ceremony was at the church he preaches in and where Eleanor spent many Sunday morning’s as a child. Michael, looking athletic & well groomed, was waiting patiently for his bride to arrive in what must have been the oldest car in Britain.
After the ceremony the guests were treated to nibbles and drinks in the church garden before waving off the happy couple in the very old car. We were all reunited shortly afterwards at the beautifully prepared marquee. The party commenced, the DJ sang (thats not a mistake he really did sing) and delicious food was served from street style food vans.
The weather was just fantastic; there could not have been a better day for a marquee wedding. Children and dogs played outside and the guests tanned themselves on the grassy banks whilst enjoying their ice-creams. When I finally left to head back to the West Country the dance floor was rocking, I only wished I had booked a hotel for the night so I could have had a few drinks and demoed my 80’s dance floor moves!
Thank you Eleanor & Michael for allowing me to be part of your wedding, excuse the amount of photos of Maddie the little cute dog with sky blue eyes.
