Finally the day arrived for Amy & Robbie’s summer wedding at the marvellous Berkeley Castle. The day started with the bridal preparations at Tortworth Court Hotel; Amy and her bridesmaids tucked into champers and chips whilst the make-up artist worked her magic (of course they were already beautiful so didn’t really need that much magic)! Amy had a proper Cinderella dress and boy did she look like a princess.
We arrived at the Castle to find the boys all kitted out in kilts. Robbie had managed to keep his attire choices under wraps until the big day so it was a surprise for Amy. I’m not generally a fan of boys in skirts but I will say Robbie wore his very well – he has a good solid set of legs.
The ceremony was short and sweet, straight to the point and then swiftly followed by a confetti throw, canapés and group photos outside. The weather had taken a turn at this point so we had great fun dodging the rain. The skies cleared just in time for our ‘romantic portraits’.
Robbie & Amy entered The Great Hall to the warm welcome of their guests. A meal was served fit for a king before the speeches commenced. By the time the wedding breakfast was over the weather had cleared and we were blessed with some beautiful evening light for a few more portraits of the happy couple, before the first dance and the Ceilidh commenced.
What a day! Thank you to Amy & Robbie for having me capture this truly beautiful day for you. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.
